single gurls rock:

the joy of being THE INDEPENDENT WOMAN

i never had a boyfriend all my life. and i'm not planning to have one any sooner. i mean, i love having crushes, feeling kilig, having MUs (mutual understanding-filipino thing), but that doesn't really trigger my desire to have a bf.

won't it look good that you never had a boyfriend when you were in high school? and won't it be nice to be free? i mean, as a girl you have to be independent in two ways: 1) the survival way (when you get stuck in a deserted island, or whatever) and 2) the destiny's child song way ("...all the mommas who profit dollars, throw your hands up at me...").

most of my friends are singles, both girls and guys, some seems to be satisfied, some don't. but i find it rare for anyone else to actually enjoy being single, you know what i mean?

okay, let's look at it this way: when you have a boyfriend, you're not as free. you have to hide crushes, you get stuck with one guy, you have to satisfy him, you have to suffer the hassle of finding gifts everyonce a month. but when you're single, you're totally free! you dress for yourself, you can have as much crushes as you want without anyone stopping you, you don't have to endure those boo-hoos of LQs, and much much more.

then why are some people so, um, excited to find the love of their lives. those people take life waaaaaaayy to seriously that they don't understand the pleasure of enjoying their own company. not right!

well, last year, i did want to have a boyfriend, just for the experience, but well, i figured out it's well, pardon me for the terminology, slutty and cheap. totally not the title i want to be labled.

what i want as a label? THE INDEPENDENT WOMAN: apostle of girl power.

(p.s. to feel the independent woman vibe, i suggest you watch the flicks "two can play that game" and ,"deliver us from eve". the movies are so, um, inspiring!)

news flash: official fashion trademark

if ever i open my own brand of clothing '12miles distance', i'd know what to sport.

my fashion trademark:
1. boots - ideal: heeled (not spiky), the toe part is a cross between square and triangle. not pointy. could reach aither angkle or knee.
2. jacket
- ideal: slightly over-sized. simple, and could be button down/zipper. silky cotton. slightly stretchable.
3. pants
- ideal: beige/brown. curdoroy. huge belt of another color (black probably).
4. silver necklace
- ideal: cross
5. skirt
- ideal: black or brown or white or purple any color. flowy. slightly slant.
6. trench coat
- ideal: brown or black or red or green...any color technically as long as its dark. with colar. length up to the middle of the upper thigh to the knee. with or without belt, fine. leather.

that's it actually. these pieces are classical, simple, and would go with almost anything you wear.

that's my IDEAL fashion trademark. but in real life, i could dress up from punky to real sweet, classy to trashy, feminine to sporty, modern to goth. it's all in the mood.

as i say, fashion is all about taste, time, and confidence. no rules necessary.

pro and cons of blogging

i love this weblog. i wish people would actually read it, but i wish they won't, either. i'd like people to know about me, but not too much. ahh, the pros and cons of weblogs.

pros:
1. if your real artsy, but quite lazy, and is faster at typing than writing, a blog is perfect for you.
2. you can access it anywhere
3. it's like a scrapbook, only better
4. an easy way to update friends.
5. you're your own boss... no limits

cons:
1. security
2. it's really blah without pics and our scanner is not working
3. you should be really careful because your social life is at risk. you have to make new names for people at times.
4. sometimes i can't access the net when i have the urge to write
5. if you're not that good in html-controlling or whatever it's called (which i am), you have to limt your artsy side.
but well, i like this blog. i don't have to stop right?

the beginning of the start of a new era

i am so NOT psyched with the announcement my folks just made awhile ago. they said we'd be migrating to the united states.

i wasn't unfamilliar with this decision, they've been discussing it for awhile now. but i never thought they were THIS serious!!

do they have any idea how difficult that will be?! well, i'm pretty sure they do, and well, they have their reasons. our future (me and my sisters) are much more secure there than it ever will be here. jobs their are much much more available than here. and if i go to college there it would look so god damn good in my future application form / resume.

but then again, how am i gonna deal with 'culture shock'. it's gonna like going through hell because i would be a 'newbie'. i have never been newbie... ever! and this is gonna be my first time. it would be difficult to fit in and have your own circle of friends. you know how it is.

and oh, take note, we'd start from scratch. we have a wonderful life here! when we go there, everything would be back to zero. it would take us years/decades to rebuild my dad's successful business.

life's so over!!

wait. why am i so bugged with this? we might not even go. --i wish.

angela and my words of wisdom: the world will fall apart

from now on, i vow never to give guy-advice anymore, since my words of wisdom are quite unaccounted for due to its nonsenseness. i happen to be the single girl that everybody runs to when they need those kind of advices, since none of them know that i actually have no idea what i'm talking about. i mean, i've never been in a relationship before, not that i need to be, i'm happy being as single as i am. that leaves much room for flirting, having all the crushes you want, oh and unlimited mutual understandings which remain to be legal, by the way, you know.

well, anyway, it's just that, right now, i have to extract a piece of advice i have given angela, like two months ago. it's about not taking her guy seriously and just to play. however, i learned, firsthand, that the guy was and is actually serious . but how can i take-back my advice, now that she's not even talking to me!

and well, the guy broke up with her girlfriend for angela, and is planning to court her. he's even asking (i mean, begging) for my help in this woeing process. i know every single detail of their feelings for each other and i can't do anything but bottle up all the infos, since i promised both parties secrecy.

sigh! could life be anymore complicated...
